Trisomy 18

Above is a video about elliot who was born with trisomy 18. For those of you who don't know Trisomy 18 is a chromosomal disorder that occurs when there is an extra chrosome or chromosomal matter. In this respect it is like Down Syndrome or trisomy 18 expect that it occurs on the 18th chromosome. For more info on the disease and its effects go here http://www.trisomy18.org/site/PageServer. This video touched my heart, and I encourage you to watch it. For those of you who don't know I began working with special needs children at age 11 and I feel led by God to work with them by getting a doctorate in elementary education and special education then possibly getting more degrees in the special needs field. It totally fills my heart up and I can't imagine doing anything else.

Feelin Feminine Challenge!

This week I have been participating in what is a challenge designed to encourage young ladies to dress in a feminine manner. I decided to participate as I am very much into wearing skirts and dresses and of course always being modest. It's been a fun week. I wanted to post some pics but due to technical Issue I cannot. Please don't misunderstand I don't think that girls wearing pants is wrong by any means, in fact I have a very well used pair of jeans but I lean more towards skirts because I enjoy wearing them and feeling feminine.
